How do you practice self-care?

Taking a holistic approach is my mantra. Am looking at physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social.
Watching what I eat, making sure I do some physical exercise (though I must say my job does make me sweat a little), being mindful of my thoughts, emotions and giving myself time to slow down and think or meditate. That’s basically me.
I find the concept of self care quite broad, not limited to taking a spar day or shopping and stuff. For me it’s everything that brings wholeness.
Giving myself time for creativity is self care. Spending sometime with family or friends is self care. Just being in my room quiet, winding down the day is self care. Having my alone time with God is self care.
Definition wise, it’s what you do to promote or improve your well-being (health). And for me that goes from having my hair treatments routines or face wash routines, to writing a blog, to going to church, to having a goodnight sleep.
Self care is like an everyday thing. From simply making my bed , to putting on fresh clean cloths and having a nice fulfilling breakfast.
I do the simple day to day routines intentionally, as a self care thing. Everyday living is self care, as it all makes me whole in one way or another. That wholeness brings the peace and satisfaction that encourages me to go on.
