The voice in me

In my opinion a great teacher is someone who has the gift of teaching coupled together with being passionate about  the subject matter and the students.

I could think of many examples. One of them being my father. He is passionate about the word of God and loves to see people growing spiritually, and also naturally can explain things so well.

But I would like to talk more about Jesus.  He is regarded the greatest teacher of all times. I asked myself why? According to what I found.

1. He never went to any Rabi training, but they called Him, ‘teacher‘ . – people could acknowledge the gift.

2. He captured people with His teachings -often read things like ‘ they were astonished at how He spoke with such authority’

3. He loves people – to the extent that He died for us. Paying out debts of sin which required our blood. But He took the fall for an entire human race , which even up to now resist Him. He knew they would, but He did it anyway hoping that maybe you would believe in Him and be saved.

4. He was not driven by fame ,but only the truth of His teachings. – Even if it would make Him lose favor with other groups of people.

5. He lived by the word which He taught.  – On fighting temptation, He used the word. He followed through what the words of the prophets said and fulfilled them. He lived what He preached.

6. He was more than convinced about His teaching and passed on the same to His followers,  and now more than 2000 years later His teachings apply and stand true.

I may not pick all the qualities. But please do answer me. Can’t we describe that as being a great teacher.
